Marnita Joy is a beauty and lifestyle creator, makeup artist, entrepreneur, and creative who has mastered the art of the pivot — with a love for good stories, beautiful things, big ideas, and finding a little more joy in everyday life.
With more than 15 years in the beauty industry, Marnita built her creative foundation as a professional makeup artist, working with iconic brands including NARS, Make Up For Ever, and MAC Cosmetics. Her career has taken her from beauty counters to fashion and media, with experience alongside Ford Models, VH1 productions, and backstage at New York Fashion Week.
But beauty has always been just one part of the story.
A proud graduate of Norfolk State University with a degree in Psychology, Marnita has built a life and career defined less by following one perfectly mapped-out path and more by being willing to explore where her interests, experience, and curiosity take her.
Over the years, that has meant working across beauty, entrepreneurship, finance, branding, content creation, and more — starting businesses, changing direction, learning new things, letting go of ideas that no longer fit, and occasionally starting all over again. And she wouldn't have it any other way.
Marnita believes reinvention isn't a sign that you got it wrong the first time. Sometimes the pivot is the path. There is freedom in allowing yourself to change your mind, try something new, follow an idea, and become a different version of yourself as many times as life requires.
